this is a website redesign project where we are required to redesign the existing website '15th Airedale Scouts' specifically addresssing web design, usability and accessibility. With references to an evaluative report done on the website, it is expected we enahnce the user experience by developing on its weakest areas.
My design demonstrates an understanding of clear visual hierarchy, good navigation and attractive artistic design through adding relevant imagery, employing a grid system and a re-organisation of information.
with this task we were required to create a new web page that uses HTML tags to mark up content into particular categories, and CSS attribute to apply visual style to the content, which I demonstrated with the font and color changes etc.
this page is an experiment where we were required to 'play' with the code in order to learn the basic chararcteristics and behaviours of CSS.
this is a page showing a pattern that is recreated with HTML and CSS, emulating that of an artwork piece.
for this design, we were tasked with creating a microsite with links that enable us to navigate between the pages, styled in a manner that users know where they are in the site structure and how to move around with ease.
I demonstrated this by using a two-column system and styling the content with a monochromatic color palette.
this task demonstrated my understanding of building a responsive layout that work in all brower and devices, in which we were required to grant a given site with device compatibility.
